5 good resolutions to take care of yourself in 2023
The start of the new year is often synonymous with good resolutions, and 2023 is no exception. To accompany you in this long-standing tradition, Mutuelle Bleue has come up with 5 ideas for resolutions to add to your list. Their common point? They will all help you take care of yourself and live this new year peacefully.
1. 1 hour of extra sleep, would you like it?
Sleep , which is the most successful form of rest, allows the body to recover mentally and physically. By getting enough sleep, you preserve your immune system and protect yourself against diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure or obesity. That’s why you have everything to gain by sleeping an extra hour a night. As a reminder, the optimal sleep duration for an adult is 7 to 9 hours per night.
2. What if you ate (even) more balanced?
Food rebalancing is one of the resolutions most taken at the start of each year. To achieve this, the best way is not to deprive yourself, but to adopt a healthy and varied diet . In a few words, eat seasonal fruits and vegetables every day, put legumes on the menu every week, eat dairy products regularly, abandon red meat in favor of lean meats, and avoid fatty and/or processed products.
3. And also slower!
In addition to the previous resolution, you can also make sure to eat more slowly. Indeed, studies have shown that it takes about 20 minutes for the brain to receive the information of satiety. If you give it this time, you will certainly eat less in quantity.
4. Motivated to try a new sporting activity?
The beginning of the year is synonymous with renewal. How about taking the opportunity to learn a new sport? Yoga, padel, boxing, swimming… Choose an activity suited to your physical condition, and enjoy its many benefits. In addition to preventing diseases such as diabetes and obesity, sport allows you to gain self-confidence and flourish.
5. Walking is key!
It seems very simple, and yet: it is one of the best ways to maintain good physical condition and preserve your health. As soon as you have the possibility, try to walk: by going to get bread on foot rather than by car, by taking a walk in the forest on the weekend, or by getting off at a station earlier on the way to work. In a word: get moving .
We hope that these resolutions will help you feel good throughout 2023. The Servya teams send you their best wishes.
